GLEEEEEEEEEEE *dances*

For those of you who know me, I am a HUGE theatre kid.  I love everything about it.  I love being on stage, directing, whatever.  I’m a theatre major, I’m supposed to love it
So, one fun thing that theatre kids do is go to the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I fucking love Rocky Horror..so much.
Another thing that theatre kids (at least the ones I went to High School with) love is Glee.

I fucking love Glee..so much
So, over the summer when I learned that my two favorite things were about to come together I was like:

I literally ran around my room for 20 minutes trying to cast the show in my head.
Which by the way, I pretty much guessed the entire cast correctly, except for the fact that it was a complete curve ball when I found out there were going to be new characters.
The weeks leading up to it, I was really really excited.
I posted the cast list on my facebook status, I was that excited
Unfortunately for me, when the night came that this epically awesome new episode of Glee was coming on, I decided it was more important to be a good friend and help celebrate her birthday.
I finally got to watch the episode today, and after a couple of visits from my best friend, the spinning rainbow ball of death, I finally got to finish the episode.
This is my review of it:
I want to say that it was the best episode of Glee ever...but it wasn’t.
I was really extremely disappointed in this episode overall.
Of course there were some parts that I thought were hilarious, and some moments where I said, “Awwwww” with the part where Mercedes says she wants to play Frank n Furter with the whole, “Don’t Dream It Be It” nonsense.
...wait, I didn’t hear that, you have to say it one more time...
I’m going to go by what Michael Buckley had to say on his YouTube channel about it, it felt like I was watching a 60 minute music video with commercial breaks.
And it wasn’t just this episode of Glee, its been the entire season so far.
I haven’t actually realized it until now, because I think I (along with the rest of the millions that watch Glee) come out of every single episode saying, “HOLY SHIT, THIS SHOW KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!!”
Its not until I talk to other people about it and then watch “Glee-caps” and then reflect of a specific episode is when I realize:
A) That the story line to the episodes suck.
B) The only part of Glee that I’m excited for is the musical theme at this point.
C) I don’t like how we have all these awesome new characters (The new football coach and the really talented Oprah girl) and they don’t ever use them
D) Chord Overstreet+Matthew Morrison+Mike Chang= SEXY ABSSSS
E) I hate Lea Michele’s bangs
F) I hate Lea Michele’s lip synching (she opens her mouth way too wide...Michael Buckley comments on it every week and now I’m beginning to notice her horrible lip synching and it pisses me off)
Please, please PLEASE don’t think that I’m bashing Glee.  I will still avidly watch the rest of the season and love it just like the rest of the Glee lovers in the world.  I just go in with an open mind and laugh at the humorous lines and theatregasm over the amazing songs that they perform.
I had to get my own little “Glee-cap” out of the way because I was getting a headache about how much my own opinions were circling in my brain.
Now I have to figure out why its so fucking hot in my room
